Boston Floating Hospital photographs, ca. 1912-1918.

Twenty-four photographs of the Boston Floating Hospital, a medical ship founded by Rev. Rufus Tobey in 1894 to provide medical care for sick Boston children and their parents. Most of the photographs were taken by Isabel Treganza, a nurse who trained with the Floating Hospital's on-board pediatrics institute ca. 1912. These photographs depict nurses, doctors, and patients on the ship, as well as other subjects. There are also two photos by commercial photographers that depict the ship itself and Isabel Treganza's nursing class of 1912. All of the photographs are black-and-white.
